We recently received some wind blox products to checkout. We were impressed by them all.

If you ride bicycles then these are the products for you. They work and work well.

They keep your ears protected and stop most wind noise too, and where it is windy like here in the Las Vegas Area they keep your ears warm in the winter and not sunburned in the summer too.

Father’s Day is coming up fast, and I was looking for a great gift for my husband. It connected really easy to his helmet, makes it much more comfortable and stylish on his head while he rides around the trails at the local park on his bike. He says it helps to cut down on the excess wind noise as he sails down the trail where he bikes. Pick up one for each family member! This made a great early gift for him.

Wind-Blox Reduces Wind Noise For Rider Safety

Wind noise has long been an annoyance when riding a bike and can also be a safety issue when it comes to hearing approaching automobiles. Now there is a new product called Wind Blox, designed to help reduce wind noise, allowing a cyclist to hear better while riding. After a successful Kickstarter campaign in the Fall of 2013, this product is now available to everyone. Check it out!

For the cyclist or triathlete, the Wind-Blox Pro is a must. These simple devices that attach to the helmet strap block up to 80% of wind noise. And let me tell you, they actually work! As any cyclist knows, even on calm days, the wind produced when riding can be loud. But, with these attached to your helmet, the days of not hearing approaching traffic are gone!

“I was able to hear cars approaching from behind much sooner because of the greatly reduced wind noise that Wind Blox provide”

I felt as if I were able to discern cars approaching sooner and to hear some of the other city sounds that get drowned out by the wind.

"...the simple comfort of not having wind roaring in my ears all the time was the best feature of this product by far." "Would we recommend the Wind-Blox... YES"

Wow! No, really, Wow!! I took them off for a ride to see whether I was imagining the improvement. I then put them back on my road helmet and have kept them there ever sense. They work.

The quick bi-directional hook and loop closure takes seconds to mount to either side of your helmet. You don't have to disassemble your helmet straps to install. They are durable, easy wash and dry, they don't come unglued, fray or matt.

Testimonials

I use a competing item from http://wind-blox.com, which I have posted about in the past. I switched helmets recently to be able to install my ginormous rear view mirror (the previous helmet didn't have the slots I needed), and I quickly realized I needed to move my wind-blox over! Dollar-for-dollar, one of the best purchases I have made as far as increasing enjoyment of cycling. -- Fitz Chivalry
When you cycle, of course, with a bicycle helmet on (!) Therefore, it is smart that you can add WindBlox to the helmet straps, in front of the ears. The barrier ensures that the wind is prevented from whistling directly into your ear canals. Thus, wind noise is significantly reduced.     -- Aspie DK blog
We’ve covered Wind-Blox before, and been surprised by the results. If you’re sick of getting freaked out by people whiffling past you without warning, Wind-Blox can help.  These seemingly simple strap covers velcro in place in front of your ears to reduce wind noise at speed. This, in turn, lets you hear much, much more of what’s going on around you and behind you. The refined Wind-Blox Pro edition is a slimmer design than previous iterations, and doesn’t interrupt the clean lines of your helmet strap as much. In testing, they work a little better than the original Wind-Blox to, especially when you’re moving pretty fast down the road. -- Bek SLOCyclist.com
If you cycle, especially if you cycle around traffic where hearing is crucial to your safety, I would consider spending a few bucks on Wind Blox to improve rides. -- Sarah McMullin SimplyFitandClean.com
I used the Wind Blox Pro for 7 rides during my testing, each time I found myself turning my head to the side, putting my ear into the wind, then back again, to truly realize what I was experiencing. It was fantastic. I could hear…cars, that’s the most important thing. I also heard cows (remember, rural Wisconsin). -- Best of Life Magazine
I could hear a car approaching me from behind at approximately a distance of 250 metres. Without the WindBlox, I certainly would not have been able to hear it until it was within 100m of me. -- Tyres and Soles
They go on easily, fit with most of the helmets I tried, and are pleasantly inconspicuous to onlookers. -- James Huang Cycling Tips
At age 73 my hearing has diminished somewhat. I ride on the street a fair amount so like to hear what is going on around me. I strongly believe that I am able to hear more with the wind blockers on my helmet straps. I will continue to use them. -- James Ralston
5 Stars! I believe the Wind-Blox is the perfect compromise between aerodynamic drag and noise reduction. The Wind-Blox was designed as a safety item. With great wind noise reduction, I strongly recommend this product, especially for the commuters. A true 5/5 stars!    -- Biketestreviews.com
I mainly bought these to get some wind reduction when listening to the radio (with earbuds) and they work great for this purpose. Up to around 20mph and in average wind speeds these are perfect!" -Amazon customer -- Amazon Customer
I had never before considered that the noise reduction is something that should be necessary, but after using the WindBlox, I must say that I doubt they’ll ever be coming off of my helmet. The results are just outstanding! -- TyresAndSoles.com
Wow! I didn’t expect that the Wind-Blox work so good! Although they don’t block all wind noise, they block enough to enjoy riding my bike again without having the roaring wind sound in my ears. And this is very important because I have tinnitus and don’t endure constant and loud noise. -- Chris (Switzerland)
A remarkable distance in wind noise and discomfort. My initial solution was to wear ear plugs, but those roared almost as bad when the wind hit them. These simple attachments do indeed reduce 60 to 80 percent of the wind noise. I still hear wind, but drastically reduced. On colder days I wear ear plugs as well, but only to keep cold ear from my infection prone ears. When I first put them on my helmet strap and started riding, I could still hear light wind noise. I was annoyed, but as noted in the included instructions, while still riding, I lifted my helmet strap away from my ear. The difference is remarkable. I recommend these for everyone. -- Amazon Customer
Worth It -- Back from my 1st ride with the wind-blox. Excellent noise reduction. I have ear buds in and used to have to turn up the volume really loud. Today, I had the volume really low and heard everything clearly. -- Conrad Ogletree
I wear a hearing aid that amplifies all wind noise when I'm riding my bike. The Wind-Blox cut out almost all of the noise. They are easy to attach to the bike helmet and are very comfortable. -- TM Gadget Lady
I always use Wind-Blox with whatever headphones I am wearing, which helps with all kinds of headphones, even open-ear ones. I mainly listen to podcasts, and can hear them clearly with all of these headphones... -- Average Joe Cyclist (a Canadian blogger)
I wear a hearing aid that amplifies all wind noise when I'm riding my bike. The Wind-Blox cut out almost all of the noise. They are easy to attach to the bike helmet and are very comfortable. -- These are amazing!
"My wife and I use these and love them. There is no feedback and we are able to hear much better." -- David
Wind-Blox really do work. Blocking out a significant amount of wind noise so that I, as a person with hearing loss, can wear my hearing aids while riding and communicate better with my fellow riders. And more importantly, hear traffic behind me! In winter they have the added advantage of keeping my ears warm :). -- Julia
I wear 2 hearing aids and am a very keen road cyclist.  This would really help with the wind roar.  -- Alex
I use Wind Blox while commuting on my ebike. Without them, the wind noise from ~25mph can be really annoying. They don't eliminate the noise, but they get rid of the 'howling' and make my time on the bike more enjoyable. Thanks! -- Rich
